I installed my new sound card
yesterday, and found your
station while browsing for
things to try it out. Finding
it was a very pleasant surprise.
I am a fan of oldtime radio
and listen to Chuck Schaden's
"Those Were Te Days" program
on WNIB Chicago every Saturday
afternoon. Also, I am a member
of the Antique Radio Club
of Illinois and have three
Atwater Kent Model 20C and
35 radios that I have restored
to operating condition. Its
a great hobby!

I'm a member of RHAC and frequently
use their tape library. This
web site looks like a good
source of OTR material. How
does MPEG3 quality compare
to 3 1/2 ips reel-to-reel
tapes?

Wow, this is great! I am on

yet have one but I would like

Dish Network (1-800-333-DISH)
to carry your audio on their
digital satellite service.
I have loved OTR & music of

On Music Licensing
I was a musical arranger on
two famous musical shows 1940
through 1958:
"WALTZ TIME" with Abe Lyman's
Orchestra and vocalist
Frank Munn. I also arranged
music on "MANHATTAN MERRY
GO ROUND" during the same
time period. Both programs
were network radio shows on
NBC, and produced by Frank
Hummert...through his organization,
Hummert Radio Features and
Air Features, Inc. I also
played organ on two radio
soap operas, produced by the
same organization, "STELLA
DALLAS" and "YOUNG WIDDER
BROWN"

I grew up when radio was the
main entertainment. As a child
listened to Bobby Benson,
Tom Mix, Dick Tracy, Jack
Armstrong,Little Orphan Annie,
Buck Rogers, and others after
school. The big shows on Sunday
evenings, and One Man's Family.
I wish you well in your work
of keeping those memories

I was born in 1946 and, while
very young would listen to
Don McNiel's "Breakfast Club"
on the radio. Comedy and drama
on radio did not really enter
my life until, because of
my dad's job, we lived in
Japan for 3.5 years and would
listen to Armed Forces Radio
for the shows that were on
tv in the USA.

quite a fondness for the music

I've been looking for a site
like this for quit awhile,
you weren't easy to locate.
You might get a larger member
base if this would come up
on the more popular search
engines using keywords like
"radioplays" "oldtime radio"
etc.. It seems more of the
FREE or inexpensive site like
this are dwindleing in number
rather than growing, I hope
you won't be a statistic.

I have just heard about this
site from another old-radio
fan, via a mutual friend.
:) While I'm not old enough
(quite) to have listened to
the original broadcasts, I
am old enough to have seen
some of the radio stars on
their television programs.
Whenever possible, I listen
to the old shows, usually
when I'm driving cross-country
and am fortunate enough to
find them on the dial, but
I've bought some tapes as
well. I had no idea that there
was such a wealth of programming
to be found. A big thanks
to the person who turned me
on to this site.
